I don't know why, but I find rose to be a comforting herb. Today I mixed 1TB each rose water and orange water for my latte for a little lift. I don't usually sweeten my coffee other than with raw milk, but I imagine either of these waters would make a great syrup, and then you can avoid the citric acid and dyes (and...) commercial brands of flavorings use. Wouldn't that make a great gift for someone? Recipe on the bottle:
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
4 TB floral waters (single or blended)
Stir on low heat until sugar dissolves, add a tiny bit of lemon for keeping and heat an additional 5 minutes.
