The clammy hand of censorship has been felt for a long time on legacy social media. It started slow, and the temperature has been raised incrementally ever since. Now all the frogs are boiling. The freedom here on nostr is palpable. Feels alive and real.

It’s still a slowly growing community, revolved around bitcoin-centered plebs, for now… I think main stream adoption comes when legacy social media platforms like Twitter and IG migrate…
But that means abandoning their profitable Ad based business models, so I doubt they’ll do it willingly. Elon is aware of Nostr but recognizes the $46B he spent to become a whistleblower can’t just become a community service donation to fight censorship, that he needs to make that business profitable via legacy methods.

It is very refreshing to be in a place with no rules and yet in my experience everyone behaves well. Compared to the shit show twatter had become and all the hatred thrown around there, this is a slice of heaven.
