No need to nuke the entire nsec though? Just nuke your following list and start anew?

That sounds troublesome to do. I'm lazy and have so many other things to accomplish. Are there tools for this?

Haven't seen one but wouldn't be hard to make, just need to pull your latest kind 3 event, set the tags array to an empty array and broadcast the new event.
