It also shows that central bankers aren’t unique in this. Their ledger is centralized and easy to tinker with, and so it gets tinkered with frequently. Jerome Powell is a normal rich dude and a Deadhead whose job is to tinker with the public ledger.

Same for Ethereum. Difficulty bombs from inception made it easy to tinker with. Fewer relevant nodes and more points of centralization (eg Infura) still make it easy to tinker with it. And so they do.

Bitcoin has tinkerers too. It just happens to be harder to tinker with. Ultimately it’s the tech more so than the people that are different, although of course in early stages certain types of tech tends to interest certain types of people.
