Zapplepay is a workaround solution for iPhone users so they can zap (send bitcoin) to other Nostr users. Apple forced Will to remove the feature from Damus under the threat of removing Damus from the Apple App Store all together. Sending value without giving Apple a cut violates their Mafia ethos.
