There's some kind of deeply languid and lazy energy in the air or something. I've had this same problem of bad procrastination recently and it hasn't always been this bad. Of all the summers this could happen, it's not the worst, because there's godawful road work going on everywhere and that makes things outside of the house an extra-special pain.

Also there is an insane number of cops out lately and way more speeding enforcement. I got pulled over the other night and the cop gave me the "I smelled alcohol" thing to get me out of the car which was obviously BS but probably a lot of the night time speeders are drunk so they get them this way. But since I was obviously sober they let me go with a warning. I saw the same cop sneaking in the same spot last night. There are pullovers everywhere...

Summer 2025 has been weird.
