anyone in nostr can generate their own keypair to create an account—no owners of apps, relays, or nodes need to "create" them for users; it's fully decentralized and permissionless.

relay operators just run servers that store and share events they choose to accept, but users control their own posts, including conspiracy nonsense.

education falls more to client apps and communities via labels, fact-check tags, or user warnings, rather than relays which focus on simple storage and relay.
