just going off your post it seems the biggest issue would be either displaying the balance in sats so that it's not randomly fluctuating OR display it in local currency and explain in the app that the relative value of sats can change OR have merchants set a price in sats for all items.

Probably local currency and then pay whatever the conversion rate happens to be at that time.

yea, but that seems like a big difference compared to how paypay works or how any payment app that consumers and merchants are used to
