A lot of houses here in Texas are made of brick. It wasn't until I was evacuated from my room due to a tornado last night that I realized why the third little pig from my childhood chose to build his house with it. Mother nature huffed and she puffed but it turns out brick houses are pretty resilient against wind storms. 🐖🏠🌪

Good thing Texas isn't vulnerable to earthquakes though!

Spot on. Brick is suck a smart way to go in more ways than one. Maintenance free…earth friendly materials….beautiful curb side appeal.

Most of the houses back home (Vancouver, BC) are wood framed. Perhaps more insulating in colder climates? ❄️

I’ve built numerous wood framed homes with a brick veneer.

Solid masonry is actually really tight in cold climates and with new tech. can be insulated.

I love BC by the way
