Need to reevaluate my priorities. Started by deleting all the financial books I have on my kindle. Theyâre a total waste of time. Save before you start spending your paycheck. Donât time market. Buy on a monthly basis. Buy companies that you know and use daily. Thatâs pretty much the essence of it all.

You still buy stock IOUs?
Yep. Family isnât convinced on bitcoin. I got permission to put in only 10% of my earnings into crypto.
What do you mean permission? Crypto or bitcoin?
From my wife. Crypto in general. But I buy bitcoin.
Your wife is the leader of the household?
Iâve lost a lot of money in options when I was single. After we go married, I told her that she has to agree to every investment I make. If I canât convince her, I wonât invest in if.
Why didnât you just say that you have to convince her for all the options you buy instead of ALL investments đ
It felt like the right thing to do
What if you just tell her buying Bitcoin isnât an investment. Bitcoin is money so itâs technically just savings. Youâre the man of your family and are responsible for their wellbeing. Find a way đ«Ą
We have 6 months savings already. And luckily I am in a high paying job. Iâll just direct deposit my paycheck to bitcoin.
I have a few as well. The only one I really like and recommend is âthe richest man in Babylonâ. Youâre right to distill the rest down to what you do though.
I read that at least 3 times already. Itâs a simple read. Highly recommend for anyone who missed talking to their grand parents about saving.
