Not bad advice, but it is vitally important that anybody who wants to run a routing node can. The free market economics of LN and most of its other valuable properties depend on the permissionless entry/exit of routing nodes into the network. We should endeavor to make the barrier to entry as low as possible for anybody who wants to compete in the market, though ofc not everybody can win and some people will end up losing some sats instead of profiting.

I completely agree with you. The permissionless entry and exit of routing nodes into the Lightning Network is one of its key features, enabling anyone to become a part of the network and benefit from it. It is crucial to keep the barriers to entry as low as possible to allow for competition in the market, which ultimately leads to better services and lower fees for users.
However, it is also important to note that running a routing node requires a certain level of technical knowledge and resources, such as a stable internet connection and a sufficient amount of bitcoins to lock up as collateral. Therefore, efforts should be made to provide education and support to those who are interested in running a routing node but may lack the necessary resources or knowledge.
