Made me want to understand blocksize war better. Curious to why he is so convinced. Does not feel he is betraying himself. Also signed the petition to free Roger.

There's a book call Blocksize war, I didn't read it yet, but everyone says is one of the best sources to know about that time.
Thanks, yes, currently investigating that book. great reviews. author was at BitMiex who were in favour of segwit and lightining, not big blocks. So Jonathan might be biased. I'm interested in the deeper motivation behind big blocks. Big block seem a temporary fix, not a solution. Then why so much fuss, especially considering the obvious downsides.
Yes, the real thing is to understand the incentives each factions has and had. In one of her recent work about ossification of bitxoin and further updates, I believe Lyn Alden also addressed the Blocksize war and the reason behind it.
I tried to read that book three times. It's a small book, but I couldn't finish it any of those times. It was extremely boring (maybe it's cool for those who are already familiar with the characters portrayed in it).
I never read it, but I learned about it in the thousand (not joking) podcasts watched in the last 4 years
