Historically they’ve been accurate for Gaza conflicts. When it hit 7000 recently they released a list of the names/id numbers of the dead. It doesn’t include missing people still buried under rubble. Below article discusses it..

Thanks. Good read. Tragic, and I think your other point was spot on. Just creating more hate that will end up with more death.
