Fees will perhaps become more reasonable as competition grows.
Still preferred to custodial imo.
testing #zeus v-0-8-0-beta1 with embedded self-custodial node and it's awesome, but fees are certainly high for the convenience. seems it would be expensive to use it as a main address on nostr since many (if not most) zaps are <200. here is a breakdown of the fees & a good writeup from #stackernews 👀

yes, absolutley it's awesome, but it's cost prohibitive for me (and nostr as a ln address i think rn) so not my preference at this moment. i'll stick to my actual node for now and keep testing it 🤙🏻💜
