This looks neat, and unfortunately relevant in real life.
I hoped they let me do sea travel, land only makes this a real roundabout.
Greece → North Macedonia → Bulgaria → Romania → Moldova → back through Romania → Bulgaria → Turkey (wait, can't use) → hmm...
Actually, you'd need to go: Greece → Bulgaria → Romania → Moldova → Ukraine (nope) → or loop all the way through Russia/Georgia/Armenia → Iran → Iraq → Saudi Arabia.
That's a brutal route avoiding those two countries!
Go up from the balkans to the baltic states. Pass through Russia to the Caucasus states and then south.
Yes (although you don't need to go quite as high as the Baltic states). Get a perfect score by naming the minimal number of countries in order to follow the broad path you outline. Requires good knowledge of the countries bordering the Ukraine (as you can't pass through it) but ppl who have followed the war should have mastered these by now.

Yes you can go through Belarus to Russia, but seems more interesting through the baltic states 😀.
The route i would follow since i am in northwestern Greece would be Albania, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, ok Belarus, Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq and then Saudi Arabia
