Coca-Cola, Nestlé, PepsiCo, Unilever fucked the world with single use plastics.

They should pay to clean it, not our taxes.

This is horrible

Why would you sell this in poor countries without recycling infrastructure?

Pure evil.

Evil.

Very true. Throw in that our tax dollars likely subsidies these companies in this grift.

But enforcing this would require government regulation, no? Or radical, mass disruption or destruction of their facilities. Or boycotts (for those who can afford it).

And I’ve recently observed bitcoiners complaining about all of these things as “communism”

Probably both national/international regulations and public pressure. Selling Coke in 200ml plastic bottles is just criminal.

Stop doing communism bro!

(But yeah I agree, this would probably be necessary until consumers understood why glass is preferable and embraced it through their choice demand)

the big grift was convincing the public that plastic recycling is effective and that it is our fault not theirs if we don't 'recycle'

Yes. They sell their shit and usually it's there where their responsibility ends...

🤣🤣🥲

It’s like a religion in California.🙃🤡🌎

Disagree. Nestle, et al, didn't discard all those bottles on the ground. People who disrespect their community deserve to live in filth.

3 rd world countries impoverished by the dollar asset stripping cannot afford regular rubbish / recycling collection. A mandatory return fee paid by the drinks companies would sort this.
