I don’t believe Bitcoin has ossified yet. Changes are just VERY slow and conservative. Base layer privacy tech hasn’t been ruled out. I think the devs just want to make sure auditable supply isn’t compromised. No dev worth respecting is holding back on privacy tech because of fear of the suits selling and regulations getting worse.
