As someone who boils her cast iron and puts everything else in the dishwasher: soap ruins cast iron and is antithetical to the point. HOWEVER. Boiling dishes and scrubbing them is perfectly valid. It's just harder to scrub a boiling dish without a handle than a boiling pan with a handle.

That i understand. But many of my friends start washing my plates etc if they come eat, becouse they know i havent use soup on them 😂
Sometimes i use soup, if dishes have been there for some time and dirt is hard to get off.
Like i dont mind, their fun i guess 🤷♂️
That's a little interesting.... But hey, opportunism! Just don't wash ANY of your dishes at all in the first place! At least not before they come over. They'll just do them all for you and you don't have to go through the hassle yourself 👍🤭
