Been playing with it. Now have a home antenna up high for a gateway, can hit it from work and most places in between(15 miles)
That’s pretty damn far. Would you say it’s a good replacement and/or substitute for HAM? Do you think development will allow Meshtastic to exceed capabilities of HAM in the future?
No, absolutely not. Data rated are horrendous.
Line of sight vhf uhf had data rates that are vastly superior.
Hf has similar and even faster data rates on many modes, and can go around the state, country, globe p2p
