Block just hides the person from your view. It doesn't affect the person at all. Reporting does. Block is just for you. Reporting is when you are warning everyone else

Ah, now I understand. I thought it was one and the same on Amethyst. I have now looked at the function on Amethyst again and now I get it. Thanks for your feedback!
