She believed that due to the fact that eu and Germany specifically was by far the biggest customer of russian gas, she could dictate the prices etc to russia. She had made statements about this also. She said exactly that. The whole west believed so. They were wrong of course. The army is another story, you are not allowed by your allies to have a strong army, you should know that. Of course you can blame Merkel for rediculus events like this with the broomsticks

Obama and Trump both flew over here and demanded Merkel invest in the military because the USA can't afford to do everything, but she flat-out refused, as did Scholz. The British and the French also complained.

This was Merkel. Everyone makes excuses for her, but she was grossly incompetent, at best.

I don't remember obama asking that from Germany. Are you sure? I do remember trump talking about the military, but he was talking about bigger money contributions to nato, not growing the military. Something similar was what france was asking.

By the way, i had provided you a link in the past with sn interview with an afd guy, maximilian krah or something, have you watced it? If not, which is what i guess, better watch it.
