I just said that we are using real money, us, bitcoin.

Likely bitcoin? Idk, you tell me. I've never seen anyone use a gold coin

That was meant to read “Do you” not “So you” - typo put a very different context on that note. Apologies.

I’d say it’s still gold today. Lots of oldies still used it occasionally way back when.

And whilst it’s not the same, Asian cultures still regularly use gold in weddings so they’ve got it in regular usage (not day to day, but as savings).

I think Bitcoin is still way early compared to even that.

No worries amigo

Given boomers + the silent generation is still kicking, youre probably right.

I'd have to agree on the early part & it feels good to be early. Still

Funny enough, I've been trying to onboard friends by sending them bitcoin for their birthdays- Doubt they stay stacking though, aaand we're right back to the fish in the water analogy.

They likely won’t move the Sats, but if they do they will get curious about how it all works and dig in and maybe go down the rabbithole.

I’ve given out ~20 of them and always have one in my wallet now: nostr:note165hh4f9th2fpzlpgwzftqzqg2hsr3chf7ru0nvvks2cc0vmxvl7sdkreag

First one I gave out had 0.1 BTC - the guy isnt orangepilled but he pays attention to the price because in Dollarydoos that is big money now. He’s too normie to get it but he at least knows BTC is accruing and he should just hold it which is a good first step.

Are the opendimes by Coinkite as well?? I swear I was looking into getting a couple of them when I grabbed my Coldcard. CCQ Got pricey with the exchange rate so I passed.

They're very cool.

Nice wallet by the way, I do a bit of leather crafting myself. 👌
