I don't fully accept this point of view.

Bitcoin is money and the price in inherently an important aspect of any kind of money. It is also an indicator of how much people values said money, in the meaning that convenes valuable informations to the potential buyer and the seasoned holder.

It is also an important indicator of the trust the collective has in said assets.

Also it is pretty easy to remember: 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin.
