Haha, there are many ways to justify the need for a purchase of anything 😅 But as for the substance of the matter, listening to music, as an experience and trip to another dimension, requires concentration unless you want to degrade the music to just some "background noise". It's not enough to just hear, you need to listen. Focused listening to music is definitely a ritual and vinyl is certainly a good medium for this. Physical appearance of the album and its cover, in general, gives it another context that I like. After all, music is also a physical matter, a sound, vibration. Consuming music as a supplementary “consumer product” is a waste of time. And as for the vinyl specifically, I had to give up the vinyl at the moment, because of another small baby on board, little destroyer of things at home 🤦‍♂️
