I use BTRFS with RAID for all my personal files, have for years with no trouble.
And since half my files are text, HTML or code, they compress beautifully and seamlessly.
OTOH, I used BTRFS as root on a debian laptop for my mum, who likes forcing-off for some reason. Do that often enough and you'll have unfixed errors on every boot. BTRFS fsck isn't as well integrated into the boot process as might be wished.
