Remember no big bankers went to jail for what they did in 2008/2009.
The political class excludes themselves from the rules they expect everyone else to follow.
If you still think this is just about going after “bad players” you’re naive.
Not only did they not go to jail, but many of the banksters got massive bonuses for their efforts.
