WAYMO: “TESLA WAS RIGHT, WE WASTED YEARS”

Waymo dropped a new research paper that basically says: if you want smarter self-driving cars, just throw more data and computing power at the problem.

That’s exactly what Tesla's been doing for years - ditching the old-school methods, building giant AI supercomputers, and using their army of cars to suck up data nonstop.

Corry Wang, who runs the compute show at Anthropic, said it best:

“Waymo was wrong. Tesla was right.”

Brutal.

If this holds up, Tesla could be about to pull a GPT-3-level glow-up in autonomous driving - while Waymo watches from the rearview.
