Lots of options with nwc connect
1. Alby with a paid account
2. Alby with Alby hub running on a home server, start9 etc
3. Coinos.io website wallet has been reliable but probably less than the top 2
The failure could be on the recipient’s side too, in which case they would need to fix it. Lots of people having Alby failures because they didn’t upgrade to Alby Hub before the Alby custodial wallet shut down.

Are you using the built in primal wallet Ben?
I'm using their built in wallet and when I get low send more sats from my own LND node to the wallet. I've only had a zap fail if the other person doesn't have a wallet set up
