I don't know if it has anything to do with zaps and the monetization aspect, but I notice that I never see comments on Mastodon that I consider spammy, while literally every post in here is filled with them.

I filtered all events with #z apathon tag using iris.to, sent a #blockathon response, and blocked the user. Took an afternoon. global feed is tolerable again.
