I just realized that nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5 added self-custodial lightning addresses about a month ago.

It makes it possible to receive payments while offline!

In the Zeus app it reads:

"It uses payment hashes generated on your device, and hodl invoices, which means the LSP can only temporarily hold the funds and forward them along to you, or return them to the sender (after a 24-hour expiry period), effectively making it self-custodial."

It is using Zaplocker:

Tested receiving payments to it via a zap, and it appears to keep the invoice payment open until the receiver redeems the payment.

So this might save Damus from the trash-bin of Obscurity?

I've used it a bit. Works pretty well. They recommend opening of zeus at least once a day to check if you've got any hanging out there.

Yeah, it feels more like a delayed payment more than it does an offline payment. Worked well.

It does seem to be necessary to not only have Zeus open, but to view the app for payments to complete (with automatic redeeming). Using Push or Nostr notifications didn't seem to change it either.
