I just switched to the #[0] and changed my LNURL but for some reasons I still receive zaps into WoS 🤔

because not all relays know about the change. you'll be getting WoS Zaps for the rest of your life, unless you go and update every relay that has your profile metadata.

When you say update do you mean disconnect and then reconnect to the relays?

Curious about this as well. I’ve had fits with routing since the start.

broadcast

no, i mean you need to update your profile and publish the profile changes to all of your old relays that previously had your profile data. if you removed relays, those won't get updated and will have your old profile data.

In theory it should update on its own over time? Or am I thinking incorrectly?

no, they won't. you have to do it. your best bet is to use a blastr relay like nostr.mutinywallet.com and send your profile changes to 300+ relays.

Awesome I will look into it. Thanks for all the info as always!

that's likely apps caching the profile information and it will take a bit.

Or relays not having the new information?

#[3] might be right that not all of the relays knows that I switched over to another one wallet 🤔

I feel like this is happening

i had this happen to me a few months back. this is exactly what happens. blastr fixes this 😉

Maybe for such changes it makes sense to implement something like broadcast to all relays 🤔

it would be nice if profile metadta was on a gossip network, but using a blastr powered relay essentially fixes it.

What is “blastr”?

How do you check if all relays have the up to date info? Like if you used an old LN wallet on Nostr in the past that you no longer had access to?

Idk maybe there are already tools Manually would sucks to do that 😅

But that’s what I mean, how does one even do this manually?

I’m assuming use the client and update their wallet settings.

Thanks #[4] you always have an answer 🤙🏼

What Blastr? How fix? Where find?

Happened to me when I switched. Not sure who was sending zaps there and why, then it just stopped,

Old post still getting zapped? Are the old post’s still connected to that invoice from WoS.

Most clients do not implement zaps in that way, but get the zap invoice from the Lightning address specified in the profile data

Probably takes time for your bio to propagate though the relays?

Maybe

Whenever you make a change to your metadata, consider connecting to wss://nostr.mutinywallet.com first. It will broadcast the event to hundreds of relays.

Is mutiny relay send only, or does it also aggregate and receive events?

I think it’s send only

Yeap! Connected to them.

This happened to me a couple of months back.

I was getting zaps to 2 different wallets.

I then realised that there were 2 areas in the profile to add a lightning address. In theory clients shouldn't be using the second one but nostr is permissionless.

It’s seems like I stopped receiving to the other one 🫡
