Anyone have any recommendations for hotels near the San Jose airport in Costa Rica for under $150 a night? Just looking for someplace comfortable with decent food for one night.

Nothing fancy but good food and shuttle to airport. Basic but reasonable.

If you can’t find anything, remember there’s a default solution which is just for proximity really. Holiday inn express or Hampton behind it. The holiday in is quite close to main road so can be a bit noisy. If you end up having to go there, there’s a Rosti chicken place which is not as bad as it looks but best food option is go into the casino

What time is your flight going to be by the way? If in rush hour, stay close to airport, SJ is an absolute nightmare during rush hour. If not, and you have the time, you could look for something in Santa anna. It's a nice area. Just make sure to check times on maps and add a good cushion to see if it's possible
I plan to go to the airport around noon or 1pm, so hopefully there won’t be too much traffic
There shouldn't be at that time so I'd seriously look at other options to be honest. The airport area is not pretty really.
