The scary thing in my opinion is they displaced programmers first.
Most people were under the assumption that programmers would be the safest in a post AI world since they needed someone to have oversight on the machines, & fix their errors.
Plumbers are looking pretty smart now.

Plumber Plumbers or "Plumbers"
Like someone who installs plumbing vs. someone who only unclogs toilets.
With 3d printers used on a commercial scale in construction the installation could be automated. But when literal shot breaks, you need a plumber.
