Government should have no involvement in the ISP business. None of the NN fearmongering became reality. In fact, it's because of government that we have hardly any competition in the space today.
Net neutrality means that ISPs don’t get to speed up or slow down your web traffic based on what site you’re visiting. The FCC understood this in 2015, yet left the door open for the creation of fast lanes in their new rules. I really think the "net neutrality" phrase was co-opted just to get a bad bill passed thathasd nothing to do with NN. Now my property taxes go to pay for my ISPs competition so that they can expand their local telecoms network since they have the charter.
