Open/break the rear case

Remove the battery

Remove the circuita board

Remove glass

Depending on the phone model, all removal operation might break more components or be hard to separe from other.

The removed component can be dumped following your state recyle rules

If you want be eco-friendly yes

There might be also service who dispose eletronic goods, but again, this depends in your region. The main problem for modern phone is to dispose of the locked battery
