Finally got around to installing noornote on my linux mint machine. I downloaded this package since I think it matches my architecture:

noornote-0.3.2-linux-amd64.deb

I installed it and went to run it in /usr/bin/, and I get this error:

./noornote: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.39' not found (required by ./noornote)

Is that a package I'm supposed to install? Duck AI is telling me that I should absolutely not upgrade glibc

With the help of AI, I ran these commands to get more info:

$ ldd --version | head -n1

ldd (Ubuntu GLIBC 2.35-0ubuntu3.11) 2.35

$ dpkg -s libc6 | grep Version

Version: 2.35-0ubuntu3.11

Let me know if you have any more ideas for me to try.

Sorry, I was being naive and just assumed everybody was using the latest Ubuntu 24.04 with GLIBC 2.39. I went ahead and built a new release that also supports Ubuntu 22.04 with GLIBC 2.35, so it should work on your system without you having to update anything. Just download the .deb package again here and install it: https://github.com/77elements/noornote/releases/tag/v0.3.3

Thanks for the quick update! I'll check it out tonight inshaAllah when I'm at computer. That was a fun learning experience.
