The film Barabbas (1961) included a real solar eclipse during the scene of Jesus Christ's crucifixion.

It was filmed in Italy on February 15, 1961. Director Richard Fleischer delayed the schedule to capture the eclipse and had only one chance to get the shot.

I have seen an eclipse in real life. At least a couple. Was at the Oregon Solar eclipse gathering in 2017.

You're very fortunate. It's still on my 'bucket list'. To date I have only seen partial eclipses.

Ah I clicked on the link and see what you shared. Thank you! I didn't realize it was that scene. ☺️🙏🏻 That's pretty awesome they captured this. I am a sucker for Jesus movies but I may rethink watching this entirely now that I have seen this scene.
