I read most of the article. Understood little. I'm not thech at all, I don't understand what this means.
Search for BitVM on Twitter, there are more posts explaining it.
Probably main take is stuff like drivechains requiring a consensus change is something totally unnecessary .
In practice, bitvm turns the tables.
But in your opinion, is this something that can be used in the short term or will it be used in a long time?

The code can be anything. Send someone sats if they win at chess. Or if they give you an equal amount on a sidechain. It brings us covenants, sidechains, gambling, & "defi." All w/o forks.
But we're not there yet! We only have a bare-bones VM & 1 demo function that can run in it. We need to make more dev tools and we need builders to build all the cool stuff out.
