Hunting food must be the only thing you do because you have to, not because you want to. That is the definition of work, not fun: it must be done and you trade it for food. If you want to sing - sing, if you want to cook - cook, if you want to invent something - invent. But if you expect somebody else to do your part of hunting in return for you singing, inventing, cooking - don't do it. Don't force the progress. It either comes naturally or it comes booby trapped.
