When I was in full-scale OMG-the-world-is-about-to-end mode (covid red-pilled me hard pretty much overnight) I got several books on tanning hides. Seem like a very useful skill to have!
Thx! Yes I love tanning and making useful stuff from skins. Something I keep coming back to is the fact that authentic buckskins were used as currency, hence the term "buck". Part of the reason they worked as currency was due to the fact that they took an incredible amount of work to produce. Which could not be cheated until the invention of chrome tanning. I call it fiat tanning!
