Basic income is difficult to accept and touchy to implement, but necessary in the coming times.

Agreed. St. Louis specifically has been forced to deal with immense poverty and less resources due to the county/city divide. Kids here who grow up in poverty, and schools that close due to funding, are forced into lives of crime. It’s an awful cycle. i hope this helps the people who need it, and give them some room to breath and take care of themselves.

I’m in some groups who try and directly help the community directly, but it’s tough. This will help a lot

It’s truly a worldwide issue, I could say this word for word about the UK

You know, I often think that resource scarcity is at the root of most behavioral problems societies experience. There should be enough for everyone, but avarice prevents plentiful living. For some, the few, there is never enough. It’s so difficult to draw that line though, I live in plenty, but feel chased by the wolves of scarcity every day of my life thanks to my childhood. It’s complex for so many people. Automation is coming for most jobs, the people will need resources to live, meted out without judgement. I’m hopeful, but pessimistic.
