@OutrageousRoss if the ai’s intelligence becomes sophisticated, it seems unlikely that it’s goals would not also be transformed. making paperclips does not strike me as an objective that a super-intelligent being would accept. 🤨 also, i’m not so sure that empathy / emotion is optional here…
