Not sure what would qualify as experience, but my first real experience with Bitcoin was through a faucet that gave Bitcoin away for completing tasks. The first time I decided to withdraw my gains was a quite stressful experience as I was waiting for my transaction to confirm. I did not understand well how Bitcoin worked back then.

I first learned about it when I was focusing my scope as a software dev. I love python and I'm like okay what projects are improving the world?

I learned about eth, and I'm like okay but I don't see a purpose. Eth lead me to bitcoin and I'm like woah. As soon as I heard no government no banks I was 100% in.

I've known the American "civil war" is a lie and the banks were the real issue. Seeing a way out was all I needed.

I was attending Libertopia in San Diego, and met nostr:npub13700uhjmtvfl49n4drcr0qg7rk863m8rzqdgceddpfwh2ejlumdqn6375k there. We went to lunch, and he asked if he could pay me for his portion of the check in bitcoin. I agreed, and he paid me on the spot.

That was my first direct experience with bitcoin, I've never looked back, and I'll always appreciate nostr:npub13700uhjmtvfl49n4drcr0qg7rk863m8rzqdgceddpfwh2ejlumdqn6375k for that introduction.🙏😁💜😆👍💯‼️

February 2020, after I got over the “only criminals on the Dark Web, and terrorists use #Bitcoin. The pandemic made me/us realize how beholden to fiat we, many of the general populace was/were. We have no children, and as farmers/beekeepers didn’t spend much of our savings partying, realized our “Boomer bucks” were getting printed into obscurity. Their courageous, intelligent positions helped us boost our resolve to swallow the orange-pill.

I came to bitcoin because of Nostr! I came here for freedom, and boy did I ever find it. Not just freedom to communicate, but financial freedom to hold and transact as well! I wish I could remember who sent me my first zap 🫂💜🤙

In 2011 my brother-in-law wanted me to set up some servers to mine bitcoin. I was too busy (uggh). Later on in 2014 I bought bitcoin I think price was around 2014 for around $300. Should of HODLd forever but like many will say back then it was definitely a different time. Long live Bitcoin.

I started digging in the project back in 2011 but i lost interest in it due to the complexity of wallet management. 6 years later my gf reminded me of it in a conversation. I picked it from there and never dropped it.

I am a teacher and during my classes i have been orange pilling my students since then. My students are between 22 to 44 years old. Only those who have 22-30 have been listening paying attention.

2017, yachtmaster course, hearing about bitcoin, eth, etc. mining experience and crazy price rises. From that moment I want to know more and more..

I was ready to buy 1000 Bitcoin with my Credit card back in 2012 … but I chickened out at the last minute … Then 5 years later when Bitcoin was around $700 I was going to buy 1 Bitcoin and downloaded several different wallets but was not sure which one to use. Eventually I bought $50 worth of Bitcoin on Coinbase and $50 on Shakepay… when Bitcoin hit $ 2,000. Then I found Steemit and started earning crypto from blogging… then Hive.blog and now Blurt.blog … where I earn Crypto from blogging and convert to Bitcoin on Ionomy.com soon I might reach my 1 Bitcoin. Didn't buy in 8 years ago because I thought I was too late. Bought in this year still thinking I was too late. Fell down the rabbit hole listening to Breedlove, Saylor, Myers, Swann, Saifedean, Lowery et al and realised we are still early. Learnt about Nostr and it's symbiosis with BTC and realised this is the future, and we are writing it together. Glad to be on board.
