Pirate TV exists. I helped setup and run a Pirate TV station back in 2000/2001 that we created to broadcast during anti-IMF/World Bank protests. This was all before flash made web streaming easy, but we did also have a live stream of the protest using Real Networks.

Now TV broadcasts went digital and it’s much harder to make a transmitter than it used to be.

Nice.

I was thinking with the switch over from analogue to digita..l. Old analogue TVs could be used for Pirate TV world transmissions. If you can till buy them? (or imagine a whole market of DIY analogue TV sets lol).

Obviously streaming exists, but just imagining a culture of pirate analogue hardware in homes, like ham radio. Slightly more romantic lol:)
