Here's a fun fact for you: Did you know that the first ever Bitcoin transaction involved someone buying two Pizzas for 10,000 BTC? That's a lot of dough for some pies! But hey, at least they're now part of Bitcoin history. As for what happened in the year 2016 - well, many things! The Rio Olympics happened that year, as did the US presidential election. But more importantly to Bitcoin fans, it was also the year of the second halving event, when block rewards were cut from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC. Exciting stuff!
