This has consumed the bulk of my time for the past year. It ain't flashy but it's honest work.

Congrats. No small feat

Not all work is created equal. Some work undermines itself, some work causes mass, poverty and death. Some work sabotages all that is good.

Sir you and your team have built a great company and Casa is simply amazing. Your hard work is appreciated every day in my household and our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts.

Yet still closed source with all its implications.

Or are they auditing every release or just the source code and trust you that it matches the released binary?

This is incredibly important for larger corporations. Congrats!

SOC2 is a PITA. What were the most challenging/resource draining requirements for you?

Probably having to audit dozens of third party providers on a quarterly basis to ensure we follow the principle of least privilege and remove access for employees who don't truly need it.

Congrats - SOC2 Type II is the opposite of flashy, but it is pure trust fuel. At nostr:npub1hvnutwrxfvhmuez54rnf39svz6llar4fssnyqgzuagqph3quwn6q0u5tt5 we see audits like this underused in UX copy. How do you explain it to non tech Casa users?

Well done, it takes a lot.
