I see your point, that these services are known to email you to get you to come back to their “there” but that’s because these are different accounts and different services than your home feed.
In its current form nostr feels like it’s centralized, even tho it’s hosted decentrally. I don’t go to different places and communities on nostr, I just go to nostr. Attempts to do community are more curated lists of homefeed content, rather than different “there”s.
Nostr lack the ability to be in different contexts and stay in those contexts. It feels, and is lexical spoken of as one place. Nostr feels like email, not like multiple different places with one login, so no the opposite of email.
