Glad to see you covering LBE's (Leaveraged Bitcoin equities). I've started researching this too.

Came across True North interview with semler, Eric Semler blames headwinds the company is facing, struggling because fda won't approve some new cardiac treatment and doj sued them.

He doesn't say this in the video, but I get the feeling they've unfairly targeted semler because they are a high profile bitcoin treasury company. And so if semler crashes and burns then it would put off all the other big pharma that could potentially enter the bitcoin space.

What Mark Moss says in your video about semler not being perceived as a bitcoin treasury company can't be dismissed, he definitely has a point.

The True North interview with Semler is worth a watch. πŸ‘

Thanks for the feedback. Love sharing analysis where possible

Did you buy some Semler?

I've been extremely slow buying bitcoin treasury companies.

Currently only bought MSTR around 6 months ago.

I did look into alternatives around 6 months ago but for whatever reason got pushed away.

Last couple of months 2 uk companies swc and coinsillium have joined this space. And I see many more this year.

I dont have semler, but I'm certainly considering it. Surely the change in atmosphere towards bitcoin in US will hopefully reduce the amount attacks they are going through. Maybe RFK can give semler a hand, Eric Semler certainly calling out to him in that interview.

Obviously Metaplanet is another.

The one and only bitcoin treasury in India is Jetking. Only available to Indians currently but as it grows should become available to international markets.

Buying outside the obvious ones, I feel some research is required to minimise risk of the duds.

They are gonna crash hard in next bear market (I know we may well get a prolonged bull markets, I'm happy to be wrong if it happens).

I'd like to try and pick companies that survive the next bear market and are able to cope with the leverage.

I'm in the research phase before I deploy and decide what to buy.

How about yourself? Are you buying?

Well still mid multi-year trade for this BTC cycle, so trying to not get distracted (shiny object syndrome)

I think buying some equity in BTC treasury cos in 18 months, bottom of next bear, is my play

Take some speculative positions

This cycle, whilst they’re might be plenty of upside if you get the right one, I prefer longer term holds, and am not sophisticated enough to time an exit in the 3/6 month timeframe

Always open to opportunities. Just have to choose the right one!

Yes I agree, worst case scenario we may only have 6 months left in this cycle, but I suspect 12-18 months because of all the bullish news.

Bottom of bear market was the perfect time to pick up MSTR. The next bear market, there will some real gems. I did buy a little late, but I'm treated my MSTR buy like bitcoin, just buy and hold.

I definitely plan to have some dry powder in the next bear. πŸ’―

If we don't get a crazy bull market this cycle then its gonna be amazing next cycle. Institituions / financial advisors all still getting their head around bitcoin. It takes time adjust the mindset approach. So might not be enough time for this cycle.

Its a blessing if we dont get an amazing bullrun this cycle. It give more people more time to stack cheap sats, maybe another stab at 100k in 2 or 3 years. And we can add cheap sats too.

Either way, whatever happens, it's a win. πŸ’ͺ
