Just looking at the usernames, they will end with @bsky.social

So does that introduce a single point for central control? If pressed by a government, could accounts be banned/censored?

Will be very interesting to see what is handled at the protocol level vs app/client. I know the team has worked very hard on it, and I wish them the best of luck, but not too much luck because, you know, nostr! 😁

from my understanding, they can be censored at the application level, however the user data (identity, posts, comments, likes etc) will still be available and the user can just login to a competing client.

I think there will eventually be more instances, this is just the launch.
