If I remember correctly it was just people publicly posting bitcoin buys. Started with a dollar and went up by one and so on. Dunno when it got called the "stackchain" but eventualy that name got coined.
It got called Stackchain within the first day or two.
Some plebs on TWTR want to show how cool they are by buying $20 worth bitcoin every day 😆
We bought bitcoin together and increased the price by 1 US dollar for each purchase. This formed a chain of purchases. There is a whole GitHub page about it here: https://github.com/stackchainsats/stackchain

Yes. I saw the need to document some things on the second or third day of Stackchain because we had so many damn scenarios it was getting hard to keep track. I also believed someday that we'd need our own platform and client, to grow outside of Twitter. Now with Nostr, this all becomes a possibility. We just need the majority of Stackchainers to understand this and for a isn't to be built. Baby steps though. Mempool management is happening all via a third party app now!

Stackchain started almost one year ago, on July 18, 2022 when a random Bitcoin pleb said that he was buying $5 worth of Bitcoin. Someone then bought $6. Another pleb then bought $7. And this has continued on, stakchon dollar increments at a time all the way up until almost $4000. It follows the Bitcoin ethos with consensus, nodes (human block validators), sidechains with chain roll ups, and a mempool. You can join Stackchain with as little as $1. You can even join today on Nostr with the stackjoin hashtag. However, the fun happens on Twitter (for now) with all of the memes craziness as stacks and blocks fly by.
